 Photo by David Weihnacht Founding member of alt-rock band Camper Van Beethoven delights living-room audience Victor Krummenacher co-founded Camper Van Beethoven in 1983, and this fall he passed through Denver touring as bass player with The Third Mind collective with Dave Alvin. He also took the time to stop by and play Five Points Live! - with a borrowed guitar - delivering a strong set of songs and stories in a packed living room show on Tuesday, October 21, to round out a robust, satisfying season of shows.  Photo by John Abramson Photography Commemorating 10 Seasons of Shows on October 4, 2025 We launched Five Points Live! in May of 2016, and on October 4, 2025, we presented a celebration of our 10th season of shows with a special concert honoring the musical history of the neighborhood, and supported by a generous grant from Denver Arts & Venues, and with support from Gift of Jazz. The sold out show at Savoy Denver featured Nani Vazana singing Nina Simone and a hint of JS Bach, plus Ley Line harmonizing on world folk, blues, and funk, and Chantil & The Dukes of Art, a trio led by jazz pianist Chantil Dukart. In addition to these mainstage artists, local fave Laurie Dameron rocked the jazz and blues guitar on the mezzanine. Tickets were just $10 (for 10 years!) and the awesome space at our neighborhood treasure was also activated with the Maiz food truck, craft cocktails and Jakrabbits zero proof beverages, and Thick's local gelato, to help us celebrate a decade of Five Points Live!  Celebrating the life and music of the late Jill SobuleLocal and national artists gathered with friends, fans, and family to remember and celebrate the life of the late Jill Sobule, who died tragically in a house fire in Minnesota on May 1, 2025.  Photo by Doug Gertner Blues Bash features New Orleans and Colorado artists During a rare stretch of chilly, rainy weather on August 24, 2025, a hot blues show happened at the home of Mike Goodman and Emily Roet in Southeast Denver. The Fort Collins-based Cary Morin Duo (Cary Morin and Celeste Di Iorio) brought strong songs and playing. Then Johnny Sansone from New Orleans broke out his harmonica, guitar, and accordion to deliver a fierce set of Mississippi Delta, Cajun, and Chicago blues, joined by surprise guest Nic Clark on a screaming harp. Photo by David Weihnacht Finger-style guitar summit with Hiroya Tsukamoto and Rich Moore in newly refreshed living room Our July 11, 2025, house concert with Hiroya Tsukamoto and Rich Moore featured two masters of finger-style guitar playing together for the first time. Hiroya is a one-of-a-kind guitarist and composer. Born in Kyoto, Japan, he attended Berklee College of Music and has been performing internationally for over 20 years. Hiroya has released 6 albums and recently placed 2nd in the International Finger Style Guitar Championship. Rich has played our living room many times with his wife and musical partner, Mollie O'Brien, and has played with folks all over the Denver area and beyond including solo, duos, country and western bands, blues bands, studio work - you name it, he's played. Speaking of our living room, after a decade of hosting house concerts, the space was showing signs of so many shows, so we refreshed the floors, tile, counters, and lighting, and we were delighted to welcome a full house to our refreshed home on July 11.
