2025 Concert Recap: Celebration & Loss

Five Points Live! had another great year of music, presenting two shows in our newly refreshed home and supporting concerts across Colorado and beyond. We celebrated our 10th season of shows with a big Jazz & Roots event, and we mourned the loss of our friend, local hero, and oft-presented artist Jill Sobule. The year began with Katlan from Transylvania, along with local favorite Zoë Aqua, in a sold-out show at Savoy Denver, a beautiful room near our home. Next up, we booked and supported a tour for Nani Vazana, from Amsterdam, who performed her Nina Simone tribute and Ladino music at Dazzle in Denver, Muse in Lafayette, and two shows in New Mexico. The month of May was to be a short tour with Jill Sobule, which instead turned into an impromptu memorial at Swallow Hill Music after Jill's tragic death, and later we produced a Jillith Fair tribute at Denver JCC. We also presented Ley Line in Carbondale, a finger-style guitar summit at our place, a New Orleans blues bash at Goodman-Roet's Gazebo, and co-produced an Art Pepper Centenary show at Dazzle with Gift of Jazz, featuring special guest Laurie Pepper (Maggie's mom). After a glorious celebration of 10 seasons held at the Savoy, we ended 2025 with a pop-up show by alt-rock royalty Victor Krummenacher. Whew, what a year!
